Accessibility Statement
OstwestfalenLippe GmbH / Teutoburger Wald Tourismus is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously improving user-friendliness for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2, BITV and EN 301 549). The legal basis is the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) in conjunction with EU Directive 2019/882. This digital accessibility statement applies to the website/PWA of OstwestfalenLippe GmbH / Teutoburger Wald Tourismus published at www.teutonavigator.de

Status of compliance with requirements
The website is currently partially compliant with the technical requirements set out in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

Non-accessible content
The following content is not accessible as it constitutes a disproportionate burden in accordance with Section 12a(6) BGG:
  • Some pages contain images without captions. This makes it difficult to navigate to the images using screen readers. | WCAG: 1.1.1. The images are sourced from a database and are gradually being supplemented with alternative text. As there is a large number of images and they are uploaded by various parties and via external interfaces, this unfortunately takes time and we are unable to rectify the issue for all images at present. We are informing the parties responsible for the images.
  • On some pages, there are buttons without labels. This makes it difficult to navigate to the buttons using screen readers. | WCAG: 4.1.2  The unlabelled buttons originate from predefined modules and layouts that our service provider must adjust centrally. We have provided the relevant feedback. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website’s system.
  • On some pages, the contrast between text and background is too low. | WCAG: 1.4.3 .The contrast values on the website/PWA have been checked and adjusted. In certain modules, such as the map display, there may still be discrepancies, which our service provider is investigating. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website’s system.
  • On some pages, there are form fields without labels. Navigating to the form fields using screen readers is difficult. | WCAG: 4.1.2. The enquiry form is currently being reviewed. This is a predefined module that our service provider must adjust centrally. Appropriate notifications have been issued. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website system.
  • Many pages contain buttons without labels. This makes it difficult to navigate to the buttons using screen readers. | WCAG: 4.1.2. The unlabelled buttons originate from predefined modules and displays that our service provider must adjust centrally. The relevant instructions have been provided. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website’s system.
  • On some pages, a parent element is missing the appropriate child elements. This can confuse screen reader users, as they expect content to be present but find none. | WCAG: 1.3.1
This concerns predefined modules and content blocks that our service provider must adjust centrally. The relevant information has been provided. We cannot manually adjust this ourselves via the website system.
  • On some pages, there are interactive elements whose names are not included in the labelling. This makes it difficult to navigate the website using voice control. | WCAG: 2.5.3
This concerns predefined modules and content blocks that our service provider must adjust centrally. The relevant information has been provided. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website system.
  • On some pages, there are lists containing elements that do not belong in lists. As a result, lists may not be rendered correctly by assistive technologies. | WCAG: 1.3.1 This concerns predefined content from our database, which our service provider must adjust centrally. A note to this effect has been provided. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website system.
  • PDF files and documents are not yet accessible.
We are working on making new PDF files and documents, such as our brochures, available in an accessible web version. We update our brochures at regular intervals. Whenever brochures are updated, accessibility is taken into account and the version on the website is updated accordingly. Older versions cannot be updated.
  • Not all content elements can be operated using the keyboard alone.
  • Depending on the contrast of the image, the copyright information on the images may not be sufficiently legible.
  • In certain areas, such as galleries, we are unfortunately unable to provide transcripts for videos for technical reasons. Similarly, we cannot add subtitles or transcripts to content from our database for pages on, for example, day-trip destinations or tours. The module and the database must be adapted centrally by our service provider. We cannot adjust this manually ourselves via the website’s system.
