Art in the KunstWerkStadt Vlotho - that makes Vlotho something special!

The spectrum of works ranges from watercolors to photography, with which more than 25 artists have designed the electricity boxes in the "Lange Straße" area. QR codes are attached to most of the works, allowing you to obtain information about the artists and motifs using your smartphone.

And that's not all: there are also artistically designed objects in flowerbeds and on walls that will make you think and marvel.

Large-scale facade paintings have quickly become special sights in the Weser city: For example, the wine god Baccus decorates 30 square meters of the Weinhaus Schmidt.

Secret tip: Once a year, Lange Straße itself becomes a canvas: at the Vlotho StreetArt Festival children and young people have the opportunity to demonstrate their artistic talent or just the sheer joy of it. Using street chalk, everyone paints their own little work of art on the street.

Also interesting: the youth art school offers numerous courses for children and young people, as well as events for adults. The Pohle painting school also offers many opportunities to get creative.

For all ages (6 - 99) there is something very special:
A free "open graffiti workshop" with Jacques Buschmeier and Chriss Leistner; always on Saturdays at 15:00, at the Kulturfabrik Vlotho.
