This approximately 27 km long cycle tour starts on the banks of the Weser in Beverungen and leads along the Weser, Bever and Diemel rivers through the varied natural and cultural landscape of the Weserbergland.

It connects the three federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Lower Saxony and impresses with its alternating plateaus and river valleys. In combination with attractive sights such as the Herstelle Monastery, the Huguenot town of Bad Karlshafen and the Weser Skywalk near Würgassen, the half-day tour can also be extended to a full day. The route runs mainly along the popular Weser cycle path R 99, is signposted ("3 auf einem Streich") and has an information board at the starting point. Catering establishments such as cafés or restaurants invite you to take culinary breaks along the route. Animals such as parrots can also be seen.

The cycle tour starts in Beverungen and follows the Weser cycle path upstream to Herstelle. From there, the route leads across the plateau to Helmarshausen and on along the Diemel cycle path to Bad Karlshafen. Here the route changes to the eastern side of the Weser, where it heads back to Beverungen via Würgassen and Lauenförde. There are short detours along the way to interesting destinations such as Herstelle Monastery, Krukenburg Castle in Helmarshausen, the Weser Skywalk near Würgassen and the Kragstuhl Museum in Lauenförde.

E-bike and bicycle helmet recommended.

The Weser Skywalk near Würgassen offers a fantastic view over the Weser valley. The short detour from Würgassen (approx. 5 km) is well worth it! More information about the sights can be found at www.beverungen.de in the Tourism & Leisure section.

Via the B 83 from Höxter and Bad Karlshafen.

Take the B 241 from the direction of Warburg and Uslar
