    At the open-air museum, we follow the trail markings into the beautiful countryside. We circle the imposing Barkhauser Berg. Then we enter the Senne and Teutoburg Forest nature conservation project. Continue along the Hassler sand pit, past the quarry and outdoor pool back to the starting point at the Archaeological Open-Air Museum.

    Haltestelle Kastanienkrug, around the Kastanienkrug turn right into "Welschenweg", right into "Triftweg", after approx. 250 m museum

    We recommend that you take the "Oerlinghauser Erlebnisguide" with you. The local hiking trails are described here in detail and informatively.


    You can obtain the map and brochure from the tourist information office or download it from the homepage.

    Suitable for families or other hordes :-) with up to 5 children

    The rucksack should be borrowed at least three hours before the museum closes so that it can be returned on time!

    The backpack is issued free of charge against a deposit (ID card or similar) directly in the museum store at the cash desk.
