This tour has a destination for which you should definitely plan enough time: just a few minutes' walk from Einbeck's old town, the PS.SPEICHER presents more than 350 exhibits that vividly show how people have been getting around on wheels for 130 years. Historic bicycles, motorcycles and automobiles, including numerous rarities, tell their exciting stories in the PS.SPEICHER. It goes without saying that the routes there are full of views, bends and variety.

From the baroque monastery complex of the former Benedictine convent of Willebadessen, founded in 1149, the route heads south-east through the Warburg Börde. Shortly after Hohenwepel, you will see the Desenberg for the first time: the volcanic cone rises out of the Warburg Börde like an island from the sea - the tour takes you right past the region's landmark.

The journey continues in the direction of the Diemel. Shortly before the winding descent into the Diemel valley, you have a great view of Trendelburg: the old town with the town church and the castle are located on a sandstone rock about 60 m high, which is surrounded on three sides by the Diemel. From the Diemel valley, the route leads up to the pilgrimage site of Gottsbüren in the Reinhardswald forest and then back down into the Weser valley, which you cross in Gieselwerder. In Wahlsburg, the Lippoldsberg Monastery Church is well worth a visit - evidence of a monastic culture that was used to develop the Weser region in the Middle Ages.

In Uslar, the Biker's Point Fuchs is one of the largest motorcycle centers in Germany and Europe's No. 1 for Goldwing. The tour leads through the Solling, one of the largest and most pristine forest areas in Lower Saxony, with great views to Moringen and from here northwards to Einbeck. Einbeck has a lot more to offer besides the PS.SPEICHER: its beer, mustard and over 400 colorful half-timbered buildings. Plenty of reasons to do the tour again - perhaps clockwise next time?

The return journey first takes you through the Soling-Vogler Nature Park again - shortly after Relliehausen over beautiful long bends in the direction of Uslar and then from Neuhausim Solling downhill in tighter bends to the Weser Valley near Boffzen. From here, the route heads downstream, past the Fürstenberg porcelain factory to Beverungen, where the tour crosses the Weser again. The route continues over the Drenker Höhe to Titelsen. After beautiful views over the plateaus of the Weserbergland, the winding descent to Erkeln follows. Rheder Castle is also worth a stop: in addition to the Hussar Museum, the castle park with art installations and the over 300-year-old "Gräflichvon Mengersen'sche Dampfbrauerei Rheder" (visit by appointment), the willow palace, a living structure made from hundreds of willow rods, is also part of the overall ensemble. Shortly after Frohnhausen, you have a great view of the Willebadessen television tower, which marks the end of the tour.

Tip from Michaela Berendes & Johannes Ungefug - JOMOTO Motorradreisen & Fahrsicherheitstrainings

"You should definitely plan 2-3 hours for the tour of the PS.SPEICHER. The GENUSSWERKSTATT is also a great place to eat. You can take a break beforehand in the "Bike City Uslar", for example. There's plenty to see in the showrooms - and not just for Goldwing and Honda riders."
