It is best to check the weather forecast before starting the tour and take appropriate clothing with you on the hiking tour. A healthy and tasty snack made from regional ingredients and drinks will sweeten the hike, which is worth experiencing anyway;

Tip

In the landscaped garden next to the meditation circle is a soothing foot Kneipp basin. Hikers like to take advantage of this pleasant refreshment in the Storchengang after an interesting hike over the Obernberg and through the Finnebach valley.

Getting There

If you follow the signs for "Kurgebiet Obernberg", this is the quickest way to reach the Kurparksee in the landscaped garden.

Coming from the A2, take highway exit 31/Vlotho-Exter and drive towards Bad Salzuflen. The Obernberg spa area begins shortly after the town signs.

Parking

The P2 parking garage in Sophienstraße is a good parking option for this hiking tour. Further parking options in the city can be found on the city website.

Public Transit

Use the comfortable, electrically powered city buses of Stadtwerke Bad Salzuflen. Take bus 942 in the direction of the VitaSol Therme and get off at the Haus Bergfrieden stop. From here, it is only a few meters to the picturesque landscape garden and Kurparksee lake in front of you.
