Highest elevation in Lippe with panoramic views of the Teutoburg Forest and the Weserbergland. In good visibility, you can see as far as the Harz mountains.
The striking peak of the 497m high Köterberg can be seen from afar. The unwooded hilltop with the telecommunications tower and the Köterberghaus forms the southern border of the Easter wheel town of Lügde. This is where the North Rhine-Westphalian districts of Lippe and Höxter and the Lower Saxon district of Holzminden meet. The panoramic view offers a fantastic distant view that stretches from the Hermann monument in Detmold to the Brocken in the Harz mountains.
