Pump track at the "Altes Klärwerk" skate park
How does a pump track work?
The riding technique, which consists of targeted loading and unloading, is called "pumping" and also works with many other sports equipment. For example, a pump track can also be used with a skateboard, longboard, inline skates or scooter.
When riding on a pump track, speed is built up exclusively by shifting weight and targeted pulling and pushing movements. With a little practice, the course can be ridden without turning the pedals.
