Keeping the peaceful water buffalo is unproblematic in the Central European climate zone. In summer, the animals need a watering hole to wallow in and some shade against the midday heat. They are uncomplicated and eat almost everything that conventional domestic cattle leave behind. However, they are fed hay, fodder straw and silage in commercial farming.
