Freshly garnished matjes, fried herring or Bismarck with salad and onions in a roll, flamed salmon smoked on an open fire or fried potatoes - at the traditional fishing festival of the SFC Bad Lisppspringe e.V., every gourmet will find something to their taste. Of course, freshly tapped beer and wine to match the food on offer as well as non-alcoholic drinks round off the culinary offerings. The Magellan Shanty Choir and the Bad Lippspringe Male Voice Choir provide musical highlights throughout the event, creating a convivial atmosphere.
The fishing festival is organized annually in September directly at the source of the Lippe by the Sportfischerclub Bad Lippspringe e.V. and is taking place for the 23rd time this year. With a view of the town's oldest landmark, the castle ruins, visitors can enjoy a variety of fish around the Lippe spring pond.
