Lübbecke was first mentioned in writing in 775. Why did people settle here and what happened back then? What event took place 500 years later? Which is the oldest building in the town and where is the plague stone? Participants in the public tour of the old town will find the answers to these and many other questions.
The tour provides a general overview of the history of the town and begins in the oldest part of Lübbecke with the market square, town hall and church quarter. However, participants will also learn interesting facts from the modern era in Lange Straße, at Platz der Synagoge and in Bäckerstraße.
The tour starts at 3 pm at the city model on Lübbecke's market square (address: Am Markt 3) and lasts around one and a half hours.
