Christmas magic in Bielefeld city center

When the scent of mulled wine, gingerbread and roasted almonds wafts through the streets of Bielefeld and decorated fir trees light up, the most beautiful time of the year begins. The Bielefeld Christmas market is one of the visitor magnets in the region and is one of the largest in North Rhine-Westphalia. Throughout the city center, more than 110 lovingly decorated little houses lend the city a pre-Christmas magic. From the atmospheric Alter Markt in the heart of the old town to the charming hut village with the largest Christmas pyramid in NRW on Jahnplatz and the rustic "Haus vom Nikolaus" on Altstädter Kirchplatz - there is something for everyone. In addition, Klosterplatz invites you to go ice skating and curling.
