The Protestant Church of the Redeemer is located at Urbanstraße 36 in Paderborn-Elsen, together with the parish office and the parish hall.

All the materials commonly used at the time were used in the construction of the church: Steel and glass, especially for the window fronts, exposed concrete and stone for the walls and wood for the floor and roof cladding.

The high roof gave the main part of the church the shape of a tent. This tent shape is intended to remind us of the people of Israel, who lived in tents at the time of their wanderings, and to remind us: We have no permanent place here. The lamps look like stars in the firmament.
