I, Manfred Merschhemke, have been the proud owner of the "Zum Laternchen" restaurant for more than 25 years now. I took over the gem in November 1985, but the restaurant itself has been around since 1959!

A proud age - and that's precisely why "Zum Laternchen" is so dear to me and my family.

Hosting and pampering guests, on the other hand, has always been in my blood. That's why I didn't hesitate when I was offered the job straight after my apprenticeship as a restaurant specialist. And today - more than 25 years later - I still love my trade as much as I did on the first day. And I want my guests to feel this joy in my work every day at "Zum Laternchen". It's not for nothing that our restaurant is known in Rietberg and the surrounding area for home-style cooking, a cozy atmosphere and a great atmosphere ... but see for yourself!
