Around 30 vendors present their stalls in the city center at the Lübbecker Wurstmarkt. There is something for everyone, from a carousel for the little ones to a sausage sale for lovers of traditional delicacies. The stores are open until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday for the sausage market. For the second time this year, there will be a car exhibition on the market square on Sunday. Parking is free on the weekend in all public parking lots and in the parking garages.
Opening with sausage cutting on Saturday at 10 am
The official starting signal will be given on Saturday at 10 am. The Lübbecker Wurstmarkt will then traditionally open with the cutting of a giant sausage on the stage at Wappenplatz in the pedestrian zone. As could be expected at a sausage market, the focus is on sausage products and meat dishes in many different varieties. But there will also be baked fish, pizza, potato pancakes, fried mushrooms, stews, pumpkin soup, waffles, crêpes, churros, roasted almonds, ice cream variations as well as game and cheese. The stalls are open on Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm.
Car Sunday on the market square
As part of the Lübbecker Wurstmarkt, there will be a Car Sunday for the second time, a day of action on the Lübbecker market square with a large selection of new cars presented by the Lübbecker car dealerships.
Lotteries
Attractive prizes will be up for grabs in the raffles on both days. Each ticket has two chances to win, once in one of the intermediate draws, the second time in the main draw.
